Rose Color Meanings

Posted by

We may be a bit biased towards roses here at Welke’s (After all, we are Welke’s House of Roses.) The beauty, versatility and tradition of roses make them a wonderful flower choice for just about any occasion. Did you know that different rose colors are traditionally associated with different emotions? These color associations vary depending on the source, but here’s a list of the most common ones.

Red – Romance, Love

Yellow – Friendship, Joy

Orange – Passion, Enthusiasm

White – Innocence, Purity, Humility

Light Pink – Admiration

Deep Pink – Gratitude

Lavender – Love at first site

Combining colors can also add new meanings to an arrangement. For example, a mixture of red and white roses symbolize unity. If you have questions, simply ask us! We’ll help you create the perfect floral message for the occasion.
